can now find space at the logport I area. 265ha for industrial & logistics.
The area rehabilitation should facilitate the establishment of multimodal logistic centers for high-quality cargo and the location of international active logistics service providers. This development with the marketing of the 265 hectare property of the closed down Krupp Steel in Duisburg-Rheinhausen, the logport I property just began in 1999. Since then, this project developed into one of the leading European logistics centers and is now the prominent showcase for the North Rhine-Westphalia logistic location.
The success story of logport continues unabated, due to the opening of more areas throughout the Ruhr region for use in logistic purposes. The increased attractiveness of the region caused by this not only leads to companies of a wide variety of branches, for example automotive logistics, showing even more interest in Duisburg as a logistics turntable. Also the economical strengthening of the location between the Rhein and Ruhr is additionally supported by the creation of numerous new workplaces.
