Dr. Carsten Hinne studied business administration at the University of Giessen and received his doctorate in 2007 from the University of Erlangen.

Most recently, Carsten Hinne was Senior Vice President of DB Cargo AG and responsible for the realignment and organization of the newly created business segment along the Eurasian corridor.

He has been a member of the Executive Board of Duisburger Hafen AG (duisport) since January 2022. Within Duisburger Hafen AG, Dr. Carsten Hinne is primarily responsible for the International Network as well as Superstructure, Human Resources and Purchasing.
