Markus Bangen studied law at Bonn University, specializing in transportation and European law, and also gained experienced while working at the law firm Elliot & Mayock LLP in San Francisco, USA.
He joined duisport in 2000, where he is responsible for Legal, Human Resources and Suprastructure. He has been a member of the Executive Board of Duisburger Hafen AG (duisport) since 2008.
He took over as Chairman of the Executive Board of Duisburger Hafen AG on August 1, 2021.
