Borussia Dortmund and the RAG Foundation have joined the partner network of the duisport subsidiary startport. Together with Klöckner & Co, Evonik and the Initiativkreis Ruhr, they now support the innovation platform as exclusive partners. The partnership with the RAG Foundation was already finalized at the end of October 2018, with a three-year cooperation agreement.
“We have acquired two powerful and established regional advocates for the further development of innovative logistics concepts. We are very proud of this achievement,” says duisport CEO Erich Staake.
The two new partners provide the start-ups with additional opportunities for working with established companies in joint projects, while the partners benefit from the new solutions that are developed by the start-ups.
“The goal of this partnership is to strengthen the founders and their innovative ideas in the region. And we believe that we can generate added value through the expertise from the various sections of the program,” explains BVB Managing Director Carsten Cramer.
Bärbel Bergerhoff-Wodopia, Member of the RAG Foundation Board of directors: “We want to strengthen the founder scene in the region. The potential already exists. The logistics industry is one of the key sectors for our region. Start-ups and the logistics industry must be strengthened - also to increase their attractiveness to investors.”
