To ensure in advance our demand for personnel, we train in occupational skills that are customized to the market. The possibility to complete career-integrated studies supported financially by duisport, either during or after completion of their apprenticeship, is used by many young employees. We offer the possibility to young students to gather practical experience in the logistic world already during their studies. Regardless of whether an intern or a bachelor's or master's degree student – they all receive a comprehensive view into the logistic sector in the Port of Duisburg. With this we gain valuable contacts to potential your employees. In addition, we bond know-how in the region for the logistics business and our location. We offer technical college graduates a trainee program that offers them familiarity with all areas of the Port of Duisburg.
Along with individually customized continuing education measures, for young employees in the commercial-technical area we drafted the support program “jump – junior management program”. Working in inter-company project groups, as for example the strategy group "duisport Young Vision 2030“, we offer especially engaged employees the possibility to cooperatively work on and present perspectives for the future development of the company.
