From Road to Rail

Three intermodal container terminals and one road/rail terminal integrate trucks and railroads into complete container, swap body and semi-trailer transportation chains.

Regular block train services link duisport 360 times weekly with 80 German and non-German sea ports, capitals and terminals from Scandinavia to Southern Europe. They make an important contribution to reducing highway traffic loads. Around 120 combined transportation links involving ships have to be added to this list.

The integration of Duisburg into the international combined transportation network makes duisport a major combined transportation hub with international gateway functions.
