Duisburger Hafen AG is the owner of the public Port of Duisburg and the parent company of the Duisburger Hafen Group.
The Federal Republic of Germany,
the State of North-Rhine Westphalia and
the City of Duisburg

each hold one third of the shares.

The Chairman of the Supervisory Board is Uwe Schröder, Deputy Head of Department in the Federal Finance Ministry. Click here to find out about the other members of the current Supervisory Board. A so called Corporate Development Council supports the Executive Board members in strategic questions. Here you can find a list of its members.

Erich Staake (Picture) is the Chief Executive Officer of the company. His responsibilities include the Commercial Management of the organization, Sales and Marketing. Thomas Schlipköther (Picture), the second member of the Executive Board, is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Executive Vice President Markus Bangen (Picture) is the third member of the Executive Board. As Chief Administration Officer he is responsible for Human Resources, Legal and Central Services.

Port and infrastructure management and development functions of Duisburger Hafen AG include the following:

property management (lessee services)
surveying, engineering, design and construction
environmental, licensing and approval functions 
railroad infrastructure management
consulting services regarding public funding
public relations and marketing

Cooperation and Networking

Networking with other ports and logistic sites is essential for the development of new transportation links and making duisport an important element of national and international transportation chains.

Networks consolidate cargo flows and help to reduce the cost of cargo transportation. New ventures and the development of networks and strategic alliances are therefore very high on the agenda of the duisport strategy.
